Born in 1940; 1962 - B.S. degree in Foundry, the Faculty of Foundry Techniques at Zaporozhskiy Machine-Building Institute; 1968 - a post-graduate at the E.O.Paton Electric Welding Institute; 1969 - Ph.D degree in a Special Electric Metallurgy Metals and Alloys; 1973 - Senior Research Scientist, the Department of the Electron Beam Techniques; 1979 - 1985 : A senior research fellow at the Institute of Materials Science Problems, Department of Phase Transformation in Metals. 1985 - 1995 : A head of the structural laboratory "Physical- Metallurgy Principles of the Special Alloys Structure Formation" at the Institute of Materials Science Problems. 1995 - 1999 : A head of the non-structural laboratory "Ion-Plasma Technigues", Department "Vacuum coatings" at the E.O.Paton Electric Welding Institute, Kiev. 1999 - present: A senior research fellow at the E.O.Paton Electric Welding Institute, Kiev.

Scientific Activities:

  • Main areas of research: Kinetic of the vacuum refining processes of the metals in the electron
    beam heating conditions. Structure / properties relationships in the pure metals and alloys , produced by means of electron beam melting.
  • Research and development of ion-plasma processes and appropriate installations, structure and properties of deposits, produced by this process.
  • Publication : - 2 monographs, - more than 100 publications in scientific journals, - 30 patents.
